Privacy Notice

In compliance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, we provide you with this privacy notice, and hereby inform you as follows:

1.- Party responsible for the protection of personal data.

Vehículos Continentales S.A. de C.V. (hereinafter referred to as “Veico”) with address at Av. De la solidaridad iberoamericana 7864-2, Las pintitas, El Salto, Jal. C.P. 45693, is responsible for collecting your personal data, the use that will be given to it, and its protection.

2.- Information about our privacy officer and how to contact them.

Our privacy officer is the person within Veico who, in compliance with Article 30 of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, has been formally designated to:

  • Attend to requests from data subjects to exercise their rights.
  • Promote and ensure the protection of the personal data we have in our possession.

3.- Personal Data We Collect

To fulfill the purposes mentioned in section 4 of this privacy notice, we will collect the following data from the data subject, additional drivers, and/or companions:
Identification Data: Name, professional title, gender, marital status, RFC (Tax Identification Number), CURP (Unique Population Registry Code), driver’s license information, passport data, INE (National Electoral Institute) credential data, professional license, work identification, academic identification.
Contact Data: Address, phone number, email address, website, social media profiles.
Employment Data (employer, position, seniority, address).
Commercial/Labor Data: Position and company where you work, trade name, commercial name, company’s fiscal address, as well as data of the legal representative.
Location Data: Real-time geographical location.
Third-party Data: Name, relationship, and contact information of third parties for emergency cases.
Biometric Data: Fingerprint.

3.1.- Other Data

Travel information (flight number, airline, boarding pass).
Lodging reservations.

3.2.- Third-Party Personal Data

For third-party personal data that you provide to us, you must first obtain the consent of the data subject and inform them of the location where they can access and review this comprehensive privacy notice.

4.- Purposes of Personal Data Processing

Primary Purposes (Related to Service Provision): Providing requested services and products, fraud prevention and loss prevention, and offering assistance related to contracted products and services.
Secondary Purposes (Marketing Actions): Informing you about changes in products and services, informing you about new products and services, providing information regarding the location of our current and new branches, evaluating the quality of the service we provide, conducting internal studies, offering products, services, and promotions via email, postal mail, and telephone, marketing, advertising, and commercial prospecting.

5.- Video Surveillance and Photography

Anyone who enters Veico’s facilities may be recorded by our security cameras and may also be photographed.
The images captured by the closed-circuit television system’s cameras will be used for your security and that of the people who visit us, with the purpose of remotely monitoring the premises and identifying and addressing any potential risk in real-time to minimize it. Additionally, they aim to protect the material and human resources within our facilities. Photographs are used for access control to our corporate installations.
The video recordings and/or photographs are stored for a minimum of 6 months.

6.- Refusal of Personal Data Processing for Secondary Purposes

If you do not wish your personal data to be processed for the mentioned secondary purposes, or any of them, you can refuse to give your consent at this time by sending your request to our privacy officer, who will provide you with the procedure to exercise your right. Your refusal in this regard will not be grounds for us to deny the services and products you request or contract with us.
When we obtain personal data indirectly, you will have a period of (five) business days to express your refusal for the processing of personal data for secondary purposes, if applicable. If you do not do so, it will be understood that you consent to the processing of the personal data for such purposes, without prejudice to the fact that you may subsequently decide to exercise your rights of revocation or opposition as indicated in sections 6 (six) and 7 (seven) of this privacy notice.

7.- Transfer of Personal Data

For the fulfillment of the primary purposes stated in section 4 (four) of this privacy notice, personal data may be transferred to the following individuals or legal entities, without the need for your consent under article 37 of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties:

  • Business partners with whom we have a collaboration agreement and who, on our behalf or on their own, provide any of the services you have contracted from Veico.
  • Wholesale travel agencies with whom we have agreements to offer our clients travel products and services, such as air tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, tour packages, bus tickets, travel insurance, and similar services.
  • Associations and chambers of commerce that group tourism service providers with whom we have an agreement to prevent fraudulent credit card transactions.
  • Technology companies and cloud storage providers that offer Veico computer programs used for reservations, internet backup services, car rental processes, and product sales.
  • Companies with which we have a current or pending contract that is in your interest and aims to provide the contracted services or prevent fraud.
  • Authorities, to comply with relevant legal provisions and for the clarification of incidents or the exercise of any right.
  • Doctors, paramedics, or medical service providers in case of accidents, medical emergencies, or health situations, in order to provide assistance.
  • Insurance companies in case of accidents, medical emergencies, or health situations, in order to provide assistance.

In addition, personal data of identification and contact may be transferred to the following legal entities, for which we do require your consent:

  • Companies engaged in commercial activities, for marketing and sale of products or services.
  • Companies engaged in marketing and advertising activities, for conducting market studies, surveys, and advertising campaigns related to travel and destinations.
  • Companies engaged in financial activities, to offer you products and services.
  • Companies engaged in promotional activities, to inform you about travel, destination, and ticket promotions.
  • Companies engaged in tourism-related activities, to promote their hospitality services and destinations, both national and international.

If you do not express your refusal for us to carry out this transfer(s), it will be understood that you have granted your consent. You may express your refusal at this time by sending an email to our privacy officer, who will inform you of the procedure to exercise your right.

8.- ARCO Rights

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the right to know what personal data we have about you, how we use it, and the conditions of its use (Access). You also have the right to request the correction of your personal information if it is outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete (Rectification); to have it removed from our records or databases when you consider that it is not being used properly (Cancellation); and to object to the use of your personal data for specific purposes (Opposition). These rights are known as ARCO rights.

To exercise any of the ARCO rights, you must submit the corresponding request through an email addressed to our privacy officer, who will inform you about the procedure and requirements for exercising these rights, response times, how we will enforce your rights, and will address any questions, complaints, or comments you may have.

It is important to note that in all cases, your request may not be granted or we may not be able to conclude its use immediately, as it is possible that we may be legally obliged to continue processing your personal data.

9.- Options for limiting the use or disclosure of personal data by the data subject

In addition to the procedures and exercise of rights outlined in section 8 (eight) of this privacy notice, you can limit the use or disclosure of your personal data in the following way:

You can send an email to our privacy officer requesting to be included in the ‘Veico Advertising Exclusion List,’ to ensure that we do not use your personal information for promotional, advertising, or marketing purposes.

10.- Use of Cookies and Web Beacons

We want to inform you that we use electronic technologies such as cookies and web beacons, which allow us to collect data about your online activity while you interact with our website: www.veico.com. The data we collect includes the following:

Information about the type of browser you are using, the time and duration of your visit to our website, the sections you accessed on our website, information about the pages you visited before and after entering our site, and your IP address.

The data collected is not necessary to fulfill the primary purposes mentioned in this privacy notice; however, it is valuable and useful to achieve the following purposes:

Sending information related to our services and products to your email, delivering advertising related to your interests and preferences, providing information about our discounts, packages, and promotions, offering new products and services based on your preferences.

The data collected will be used exclusively by Veico and will not be subject to national or international transfers. You can disable the use of these technologies at any time by adjusting the preferences of your web browser.

11.- Web and Mobile App Location Markers

If you choose to allow it, our mobile applications and sites may collect location markers (geolocation data) using an integrated GPS device or one connected to your computer or mobile device, or other methods such as mapped Wi-Fi routers or cell tower identifiers. You can adjust the settings of your computer or mobile device to disable the transmission of geolocation data at any time by updating your device settings.

12.- Vehicle Tracking and Satellite Location

For your protection, our vehicles may be equipped with satellite tracking systems. Veico uses these systems to provide more timely assistance in case of an accident, as well as to locate the unit in case of suspected fraud or theft.
You can request the deactivation of vehicle tracking and satellite location systems at any Veico office or by contacting the privacy officer via email.

13.- Right to Data Protection

If you believe that your right to data protection has been violated by any actions of our employees or our handling of your personal data, or if you suspect a violation of the provisions of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, you have the right to file a complaint or report with the IFAI (Federal Institute for Access to Information and Data Protection). 14.- Modifications to the Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to make modifications or updates to this privacy notice at any time, in order to address legislative changes, internal policies, or new requirements for the provision or offering of our services or products. These modifications will be made available to the public through the following means: (i) visible announcements in our establishments or customer service centers; (ii) brochures or leaflets available in our establishments or customer service centers; (iii) on our website veico.com/privacy; (iv) or we will send them to the last email you provided upon prior request.
